Welcome to McKinney – a very busy, family-friendly city 32 miles north of Dallas. It is the county seat of Collin County, with a population estimated to be over one million. McKinney was the third fastest-growing city in the US a few years ago and ranked 1st by Forbes Magazine as Happiest Places to Live in the US.
McKinney has low crime, affordable homes, good jobs, and tree-filled communities surrounded by golf courses, ponds, and walking trails.

Education
Two-thirds of the residents are in the Mckinney Independent School District. However, the remaining one-third is part of the Frisco, Allen, Melissa, Celina, or Lovejoy school district.
McKinney is also the home to the Central Park Campus of Collin College. It also is home to the Imagine International Academy of North Texas a no-tuition open-enrollment public charter school for grades K–12, and two private schools in the city that serves all grades from K–12

Parks & Recreation
McKinney Parks & Recreation is dedicated to “creating a solid sense of community and strives to enhance the quality of life” by offering unique parks, memorable special events, and diverse recreational programs.
In all, McKinney offers quality family recreation and includes over 2,000 acres of parkland, with more than 45 miles of biking and walking trails.
